Mission

Initially launched as a one-day event in 2024, the Partnership.LA Summit was conceived with one core purpose: to connect small, community-focused organizations with the institutions that hold power, influence, and resources—corporate partners, philanthropic foundations, and government agencies. The event exceeded expectations, sparking powerful collaborations and surfacing a clear, unmet demand for ongoing connection.

Your Journey to Collaboration

Getting started is easy. Here's what your path to partnership looks like:

Step 01

Sign Up & Create Your Profile

Join the Partnership Hive by adding your name, email, role, and a bit about your work. That’s it. No profile to maintain, no dashboard to manage. This information helps us make thoughtful, human matches.

Step 02

Connect with Your Peers

Every other week, you’ll receive an email invitation to join an upcoming Chat. You choose whether to participate — no pressure, no commitment, no guilt. If you opt in, we match you with one peer for a 30-minute conversation.

Step 03

Engage & Learn Together

If you want to take this community beyond 1-1 conversation attend a regional summit or virtual roundtable, submit tools and resources, or post your own opportunity to collaborate with your new colleagues!

Step 04

Grow & Give Back

As you develop new ideas and expand your network, you’ll find opportunities to collaborate with others, share resources, and contribute to the collective growth of our community. The more you give, the more you get.

I really enjoyed my conversation with my connection. While we are both doing very different work, we’re also facing similar challenges. It was exciting to hear from someone on the other side of the globe and how their approaching their work.

Mimi G.

Nonprofit Consultant

I had a great experience with Shari, [she] had expertise in Leadership coaching. We [are] set to move to the next level [to] retain new board members after Altadena Eaton Fire.

Dr. M

Nonprofit Leader

My interactions with Tiffany was amazing. She was so open and ready to help. She later shared some resources that could be helpful in our programmes. I [would] like to meet her again and again if possible. She lifted my spirit.

Nduka O.

I had such a great time chatting with my new connection. We talked about new partnership opportunities and how we could help each other navigate broader networks. We both walked away with actionable items to follow up on. A great 30 minute meeting!!

Conversation Prompts

Start with You:

  • What brought you into nonprofit work?
  • What’s lighting you up right now in your role or organization?
  • What’s been a recent win—big or small?

Dig Into the Work:

  • What’s a challenge you’ve been wrestling with lately?
  • What’s a tool, system, or scrappy workaround that’s saving your team right now?
  • How are you approaching donor stewardship in this climate?

Zoom Out, Look Ahead:

  • What change would you love to see in our sector in the next 5 years?
  • What’s giving you hope about the future of this work?
  • Who’s someone in the nonprofit world that inspires you—and why?

Get Practical:

  • What’s your go-to resource for [grant writing / data / campaigns / leadership]?
  • Have you tried anything recently thatĀ didn’tĀ work? What did you learn?
  • What’s your team doing differently this year—and how’s it going?

Build Something Together:

  • Want to exchange templates or tools?
  • Curious about how others handle onboarding, planning, or burnout?
  • Ever wonder if your struggles are shared across the sector? (Spoiler: they are.)
What the Hive Isn't For

We’re all about connection and camaraderie—but just so we’re clear:

🚫 The Hive is not a space to sell your services or find clients.
🚫 It’sĀ notĀ a place to recruit volunteers or board members.
🚫 It’sĀ notĀ about pitching your nonprofit or fundraising asks.

šŸ‘‹Ā That said—do professional collaborations, mentorships, job referrals, and real friendships happen here? Absolutely. But they’re built on trust and shared purpose—not transactions.

Are Funders in the Hive?

YES, but this community is for connection and relationship building not quick transactions. We ask that you leave the pitch decks in your drawer and be open to asking questions, listening and genuinely connecting with your match.Ā

Matched members have absolutely gone forward to explore funding relationships, but it happens long after the initial chat!
